How we rank cook groups

Every ranking and score on UK Cook Guide follows the same process. No group can pay for a better position, and affiliate commissions never change an assessment, here is exactly what we do.

What we check

  • The live Whop listing. Current pricing and tiers, member counts, the group's Whop review score and volume, and what each tier actually includes. We re-verify these when we update a review.
  • Member feedback. Whop reviews, Trustpilot where available, and what members say publicly about monitors, alerts and support quality.
  • Track record. How long the group has operated and whether its claims (founding year, media coverage, tooling) check out.
  • Fit for UK resellers. UK retailer coverage, UK release calendars, Vinted support, a great US group is not a great UK group.

How we weight it

Our editor score out of 5 weighs five factors roughly equally:

  1. Value, what you get for the monthly price, and whether cheap tiers or trials let you start small.
  2. Tooling, monitor coverage and speed, alert quality, bot support.
  3. Education, guides, walkthroughs and mentorship that actually shorten the learning curve.
  4. Community, active, helpful members and responsive staff.
  5. Trust, transparent pricing, honest marketing, and a track record that holds up.

What our scores mean

  • 4.5–5.0, recommend confidently for the audience stated.
  • 4.0–4.4, good, with caveats we spell out.
  • Below 4.0, we would point most readers elsewhere, and say why.

About affiliate links

When you join a group through a "View on Whop" button or a marked link, we may earn a commission from Whop's affiliate programme at no extra cost to you. That funds the site. Two hard rules keep it honest: every page with affiliate links carries a clear disclosure at the top, and commission rates have zero input into scores or rankings, our reviews include groups regardless of what they pay.

Mistakes and updates

Pricing and perks change often in this space. We date our reviews, re-check Whop data when we update them, and tell you to verify the live listing before paying. Spotted something out of date? It will be corrected in the next scheduled review pass.
